Inaugural Option 9 Cohort
Tonight, we recognize a truly special group of educators—Boone County Schools first cohort of Option 9 teacher certification candidates. Human Resources Director Eric Ball will make this presentation.
ERIC: The Option 9 alternative certification pathway allows para educators the opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree through the completion of required training, coursework, and mentorship, all while continuing their full-time position as a para educator in the district.
These individuals have balanced the demands of full-time employment with the rigor of certification requirements, all while making a meaningful impact on our students each day. Their dedication, resilience, and willingness to grow have helped pave the way for future educators who will follow this path.
To our Option 9 cohort: thank you for your commitment to our students and our community. You have set a strong foundation for those who come next, and we are proud to celebrate your accomplishments.
