BEHS Fine Arts Change Order 19- Band and Chorus Room Framing
Danny Clemens
EH and SKA reviewed the wall types in the Band and Chorus Room above the 10'-8" bearing levels, the Construction Documents indicated concrete masonry walls at all walls up to the roof deck. Only one wall in that area is a load bearing wall at the roof structure. There are several large openings in the that area that would have required a steel lintel if the CMU spanned the opening. The Architect reviewed the area and deemed it more cost effective to revise the wall type to framed walls with gypsum wall board versus provision of steel lintels. This Change Order includes a credit for omitted CMU and add for framed walls. The revisions were reviewed by the acoustic designer to confirm sound transmission was limited by the wall revisions.
5.d.19.
