Consider/Approve Request Retroactive approve out-of-state travel for the Betsy Layne High School girls' basketball team to travel to Wise, Va to participate in a Team Camp June 4 & 5, 2026. The team had games previously scheduled that were canceled last minute due to this camp-after contacting the coaching staff at UVA-Wise, they agreed to add us to this team camp. This will provide an opportunity to play against teams they will not play during the upcoming season.

Consider/Approve the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Kentucky Department of Education and the Floyd County Board of Education for the employment of Mike Bell as the Regional Principal Support Leader. This MOA is effective from July 1, 2026-June 30, 2027

*Consider/Approve FY 2027 Certified 187-day schedules, classified salary schedules, administrative extra service, co-curricular extra service, athletic salary schedules and substitute salary tables. Approve a 1 % pay increase for all certified 187 base pay salary schedules (Rank 1-5) step 15-19, a 2% pay increase for all certified 187 base pay schedules (Rank 1-5) step 20-24 and a 3 % pay increase for all certified 187 base pay salary schedules (Rank 1-5) step 25 and beyond. Consider/Approve a 2 % raise for FRYSC directors

*Consider/Approve the first reading of a policy that allows parents or legal guardians to request permission for a student to be transported to or from an extra/co-curricular activity by means other than District-provided transportation. The principal/designee may approve or deny such requests based upon safety, supervision, logistical, or other operational considerations. Approval shall be granted only when it is determined to be in the best interest of the student and the district. No student shall be released from District-provided transportation without prior written approval from the principal/designee. *The Floyd County Board of Education reserves the right to require the use of district-provided transportation for any activity, event, team, or trip when deemed necessary for student safety, supervision, or operational efficiency*

*Consider/Approve the creation of the Network Systems Administrator position so that, if needed, we can replace the current Lead Network Technician position. This update brings our district in line with industry standards and the staffing models used by other school districts. It also makes sure that job titles match the actual work and responsibilities. With this clarity, we could attract more qualified applicants with advanced skills and certifications

*Consider/Approve FY 2027 Classified raise as followed. Approve a 1% pay increase for all classified step 15-19, a 2 % pay increase for all classified step 20-24 and a 3 % pay increase for all classified step 25 and beyond. Exception a 2 % raise for FRYSC directors
