Principal's Report
Mr. Franke updated council on the following items:
1) Status of observations. Moving into the final summative meetings for April.
2) SB 1 seems to be stalled in the house.
3) K-PREP Test dates will be May 10-16

Budget Report

Needs Assessment for 2017
Council reviewed the 2017 Needs Assessment and provided input.
V.
Remaining Funds FY16
FY16 funds will be used for a combination of supplies, textbooks and PD for FY17
VI.
Transgender Policy Update
Mr. Palm
Mr. Palm discussed the need for a transgender council policy based on information from the Law Conference he attended.
VII.
Comments from the Audience
Mr. Palm updated council on the following items:
1) The General Assembly has still not passed a budget
2) States have been given 18 months to implement the new federal ESSA Law
3) Town Hall Meetings are being held by Commissioner Pruitt. So far parents and teachers have been able to voice their thoughts about Kentucky education in an open forum.
4) The Board approved the salary increase for staff
