Rationale

Pursuant to EIS Board Policy 01.45 Board Meeting Agenda, as part of the official agenda for each regular board meeting, the Superintendent shall prepare a soncest agenda of routine business items. Prior to the approval of the agenda, the members of the board may request to "pull" any item from the consent agenda and place the item on the action agenda for further discussion and review.

Rationale

We had 9 Senior Betas attend the National Beta Convention in Savannah GA, June 15-19 to represent Elizabethtown High School. They competed in 16 competitions and won 7 National Awards. I have attached some pictures and a list of winners.

Rationale

Mrs. Derisa Hindle is requesting approval for an Emergency Teaching Certification for a Middle School Math Intervention Teacher, a High School Math Teacher and a High School Business Teacher. Postings to attract and employ teachers in these positions were placed on the Kentucky Employment Placement Service (KEPS) and on the district's application software (TalentEd), and on vacancy announcements throughout the district. The best candidate for the middle school math intervention position has taught in the middle school in special education for the past three years. The best candidate for the High School Business Teacher has a Master's degree in Business and is working to gain full certification with the Education Professional Standards Board. 

We are also requesting approval for an Emergency Substitute Teaching Certification Renewals for the following individuals:
