4.B. Athlete of the Month - Haylee Reynolds
Rationale

Congratulations to the February 2023 Athlete of the Month!

Haylee is the leading rebounder on the team for the second year in a row with 194 so far this year. Haylee is also top on the team in Field Goal (2 & 3 pt) and 3-point attempts for the year.  She shows consistent effort and leadership both in practice and in games. Coach Hinton said she is always ready with a positive attitude and he appreciates the contributions she makes to the team. Congratulations Haylee. 

4.C. Artist of the Month - Kyra Bihr
Rationale

From Nick Simon-

I have chosen Kyra Bihr as the February 2023 Artist of the month. Kyra is always ready to go every day in band class. She follows all the instructions given out. She is always willing to listen to advice about improving and follows through to make those things happen. I am very excited to see what the future holds for Kyra.

  • 3rd quarter progress reports went home

  • Scheduling process has begun.  Surveying teachers to see what they would like to teach next year

  • Students took an interest survey to see what classes they would like offered

  • Schedule requests will go out in March

  • Nine sophomores received their acceptance letter form NKU to the YSA program

  • ATC nursing students witnessed a live surgery at St. Elizabeth

  • MS students received the attendance incentive awards received a bowling trip

  • Bowling team finished 15th in the state of Kentucky

  • Homecoming dance took place with Wyatt Willoughby as King and McKenzie Gifford as Queen

  • Family Engagement night took place with the focus being on students strengths

  • Friday, February 24 will be Rosann Sharon Day with cookies for all student and staff members

  • Instructional rounds have concluded with the last ones being the intermediate teachers being observed and observing each other

  • Statewide ACT test will be administered March 7, 2023 to all juniors; a district ACT will also be administered to 10-12 graders - date TBD

  • Arts Integration Grant - Both DHS and LES will participate in this and will receive money for art supplies, art field trips and artist visits

  • The Knowledge Gap book study is taking place at LES with 19 staff members participating

  • Daycare - doing well - there will be a change in the ways meals are provided 2023-2024 school year

  • Preschool registration night will be March 21, 2023

  • Preschool enrollment is growing - currently at 87 

  • 2 teachers from LES are going to the National CECC ( Council for Exceptional Children) Conference in Louisville

  • Currently working on state audit for high number of students with IEP's that have been suspended.
