V.a. ACT Prep Program

Mr. Thomas discussed the new ACT Prep program this year. Teachers will be doing afternoon and Saturday sessions throughout the school year. Mr. Thomas and teachers will be meeting with community members to discuss program being free to all students. 

V.b. Principal's Report
Discussion

Mr. Thomas discussed: National Honor Society Induction, All A runner up soccer and volleyball, plans to replace awning in front of the school, enrollment is down to 527, minority population is at 8.9% and will have minority representative elections, open house was successful, more consistency with discipline, and Mr. Thomas and Mr. Booher met with Pike County to discuss playing junior high athletics again.

Discussion

After consultation, Mr. Thomas announced Jeanette Belcher as assistant cross country coach, Scott Hopkins as Archery head coach, Adam Collins and Jake Sokall as assistant baseball coaches, and Kristy Orem and Cindy Stuart as half-time assistant athletic directors.
