I. Behavior Intervention & Supports, RP/PBIS Implementation, and Alternative Schools Update
Rationale

12 13 16 Work Session Audio

During the work session on December 13, 2016, Board members will receive an overview of suspension data, including the top three most suspended behaviors for all three grade levels, thoughts about the data trends, and next steps.

The Board will be provided with an overview of the Restorative Practice (RP) and Positive Behavior Intervention Systems (PBIS) integration work, who is leading that work, a timeline for the process, and sustainability efforts to ensure prolonged success in improving school culture district-wide.

Finally, the Work Session focus will turn its attention to new elements of the referral/entrance/and exit procedures for our alternative schools, strategies for increased customer service and case management for our families, and a briefing on Breckinridge Metropolitan High, Jefferson County High, Liberty High, Minor Daniels Academy, South Park TAPP, The Phoenix School of Discover, and Westport TAPP.
