IV.A. Consider approval of 2025-26 adult meal prices
Rationale

KDE establishes a minimum adult meal price every year once the USDA releases reimbursement rates and the "value" of commodity food.  At this time the USDA has released the reimbursement rate and it is higher than last year so I do anticipate adult meal prices going up, however they have not released the "value" of commodity food rate yet for KDE to do the calculation.  I am asking that the board approve to adjust adult meal price to the minimum required by KDE rounded to the next quarter when those rates are released.  Often their minimum is an odd amount for instance last years minimum was $4.81 and we went to $4.85.  

 

Currently adult lunch is $4.85 and breakfast is $3.75.
