Jake Welch - 400 Meter Dash - State Champion
Ryan Leopold
Congratulations to Jake Welch for his state championship win in the 400-Meter Dash with a time of 49.3. Jake also placed 3rd in state for both the 100- and 200-Meter Dash races.
The Board recognized and congratulated Jake for his accomplishments and presented him with a Certificate of Achievement and a "Champion" t-shirt.

Congratulations to Rilen Pinkston for his state championship win in the Pole Vault with a vault of 13' 6".

Congratulations to the HHS Theatre Department whose production of the musical "Crazy for You" won seven Cappies awards for the following categories:

- Comic Actor in a Musical – Connor Defevers
- Female Dancer – Emmie Brewer

The Board recognized and congratulated the students, giving each a "Champion" t-shirt. Theatre director Jason Burgess was also commended and thanked for the successful theatre program at HMS/HHS.
