Discussion

Pam Ryan spoke about a lot of Junior High parents are concerned with the amount of bullying happening and especially the bullying on social media in between classes and at lunch. After discussing, we decided it would be good to work on a plan for this summer to build time for social and emotional learning into the schedule next year.

Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  Motion to rescind Wednesday and Sunday Practice Policy passed with a motion by Mrs. Ashley Adams and a second by Mr. Brian Hobbs and the consensus of the council.

IV.b. Middle School Holdback Policy
Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  Motion to send middle school holdback policy to Academic Performance committee and use SB128 policy as guidance for revisions passed with a motion by Mr. Brian Hobbs and a second by Mrs. Pam Ryan and the consensus of the council.

IV.c. Discuss tardy to class
Discussion

Mrs. Adams discussed the need for tardy to class to be added to the discipline matrix in our student handbook. Mr. Blackburn said it would be added and punishment would be the same as unexcused tardy to school. 

V. Information/Review Items
V.a. Budget Report
Discussion

Budget Reviewed.

Mr. Blackburn explained why art had a negative balance. Mrs. Johnson's order from the first of school could not be fulfilled by company until now and the difference was $10.70. Mr. Blackburn will move money from other to cover the cost difference.

Mr. Blackburn reviewed attached report.

Motion Passed:  Approve entering into closed session (general nature of business), (reason for the closed session) pursuant to KRS 61.810 (1) (?) to passed with a motion by Mr. Brian Hobbs and a second by Mrs. Emily Lucas and the consensus of the council.
