Consider Municipal Order 2-2026 entitled A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN APPLICATION FOR A KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET OFFICE OF HIGHWAY SAFETY GRANT THROUGH THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $50,000.00, THE PROCEEDS OF WHICH WILL ENABLE THE OWENSBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT TO PROVIDE OVERTIME TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT DURING SPECIFIC MOBILIZATIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF OWENSBORO TO ENHANCE PUBLIC SAFETY; NO CASH MATCH BEING REQUIRED BY THE CITY.
The Owensboro Police Department intends to apply for a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Office of Highway Safety Grant application through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for an amount of $50,000.00, to fund fuel and overtime hours of officers of the department to enforce traffic laws during specific mobilizations.

Consider Municipal Order 3-2026 entitled A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A REAL ESTATE PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY CONTAINING 0.093 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED AT 2745 WEST PARRISH AVENUE.
Rajesal Properties, LLC owns real property located at 2745 West Parrish Avenue in Owensboro, Daviess County, Kentucky and now desires to sell a portion of that real property containing 0.093 acres. The City of Owensboro seeks to acquire said property for use as right-of-way for a turn lane made necessary by development in the area.

OPEN PUBLIC FORUM
Members of the audience may address the Board of Commissioners on any matter of public concern that was not on the agenda. Comments are limited to issues within the scope and responsibility of the Commission. Commission meetings are held to conduct city business for the benefit of Owensboro citizens and taxpayers.
At this time, anyone who wishes to address the City Commission please make their way to the podium to be recognized. Speakers must state their name and address for the Clerk’s record, and limit their remarks to three (3) minutes or less. Since the item is not on the agenda, no response is required from staff or the Board of Commissioners. The Mayor reserves the right to extend time to the speaker.
