The Board thanked Johnson 5th-grader Elena Shadwell for her original artwork for the district's KSBA banner. This year's theme is Champions for Education. This banner will be displayed during the Annual KSBA Conference May 14-16, 2021 in Louisville. 


Elena was given a check for $50 and a "Rich in Tradition" t-shirt.

Joe Weyer, Woodfill building supervisor, was nominated for a Global Leader award for his work that models our Portrait of a Graduate competencies.  


The Board thanked Joe for his commitment and dedication and presented him with a Global Leader award.

Community member and FTIS parent Chris Smith addressed the Board with comments and concerns about students being required to wear masks.


Karen Cheser responded that all districts must comply with masking as it is a requirement for schools from the Kentucky Department of Education as well as the Department of Public Health.
