Rationale

We would like to apply for the following reasons: 

1.) We would like to place an AED device at the Preschool on College Street and/or at The Nest. 

OR

2.) Purchase new AED devices for HES and LCHS because the current devices are older than 8 years.  

The grant would give you $2000.00 to make the purchase.  Any cost exceeding the cost of the device will be the responsibility of the school.

Rationale

Draft budget for FY2026

The Draft Budget is a preliminary budget.  Many items can and will change between now and the Tentative Budget (which will be presented in May, 2025). For the Draft budget, FY2024's budget is rolled forward.  Information is gathered throughout the months on January, February, March, and April through various budget meetings.  Key information to be gathered that will impact the Tentative budget is: ADA, allocations, SEEK growth factor, etc.

Budget timeline for LaRue County School District:

January: FY2026 Draft budget is presented to the board during January's board meeting.

January and February: Preliminary budget meetings between Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Finance Director, Principals to discuss preliminary allocations, staffing changes, enrollment changes, and ADA.

February: FY2026 Tentative salary schedules and allocations are presented to the board.

March: 

April: FY2026 Final salary schedules and allocations are presented to the board.

May: FY2026 Tentative Budget is presented to the board.

September: FY 2026 Working Budget is presented to the board.
