4. First Reading Policy 08.12
Rationale

With the creation of Preschool on College Street, HES and ALES had to be reconfigured from P-5 schools to K-5 schools.  As a result, our Instructional Organization policy 08.12 needs to be revised to indicate those changes.

A copy of the revise policy is attached for your review.

5. Preschool Remodel Bid Opening
Rationale

ISSUE:    The Request for Proposal for the Preschool Remodel must be opened.

 

BACKGROUND: We must send out for bid the Request for Proposal for the Preschool Remodel in order to comply with Federal Regulations regarding items purchased with School Nutrition Funds.  

 

RECOMMENDATION:   The Board open the Request for Proposal for Preschool Remodel.

6. Preschool HVAC Bid Opening
Rationale

Opening of the bids for Preschool HVAC repairs and replacements.  Bid opening only, no action.  Bid will be awarded at the May 18, 2020 meeting. 

7. Preschool Kitchen Manager
Rationale

As a result of having their own kitchen and cafeteria, Preschool on College Street students will receive meals prepared on-site. Therefore, we will need to create a Kitchen Manager position for the school.

8. SRO Agreement for SY2020-21
Rationale

For your review, attached is the School Resource Officer (SRO) memorandum of agreement between LaRue County Schools and the City of Hodgenville Police Department for the 2020-21 school year.  The agreement has been reviewed and agreed upon by Mayor Jim Phelps, Police Chief Marcus Jackson, and school Board attorney, Tom Claycomb.  The agreement would go into effect July 1, 2020.

9. SRO Contract for June 2020
Rationale

With the resignation of Deputy Brandon Boone prior to the end of the school year, we need a temporary contract for SRO services for the month of June until the long-term agreement goes into effect.

A copy of the short-term contract is attached for your review.  The contract has been reviewed by Tom Claycomb, Board attorney, and agreed to by Mayor Phelps and Chief Jackson.
