This called meeting of the Board of Directors of the Jefferson County School District Finance Corporation was called to order on Monday, June 10, 2013, at the VanHoose Education Center, 3332 Newburg Road, Louisville, Kentucky, 40218, at 6:50 p.m.

President Donna Hargens recommends that the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Directors, which was held on May 13, 2013, as presented, be and are hereby ratified and approved, and shall be entered into the minutes book of the Corporation.

III. Approval of General Warranty Deed Accepting Conveyance of Property on Ilex Avenue and Deed of Consolidation to Consolidate Ilex Avenue Property with Thomas Jefferson Middle School Property
Rationale

The Board of Education recently obtained approval from the Louisville Metro Council to close a portion of Shasta Trail adjacent to the Thomas Jefferson Middle School property, related to the development of a Preschool Education Center on the property.

As a condition of the closure, certain lots on Ilex Avenue, which are owned by the Board, are required to be consolidated into the larger Thomas Jefferson Middle School property, which is owned by the Finance Corporation. In order to consolidate the properties as required by the conditions of approval of the street closure, the property on Ilex Avenue must first be conveyed to the Finance Corporation by the attached General Warranty Deed, then consolidated with the Thomas Jefferson Middle School property by the attached Deed of Consolidation.

Approval of the General Warranty Deed and Deed of Consolidation by the Finance Corporation, by and through its Board of Directors, is recommended, subject to and conditioned upon approval of the General Warranty Deed by the Board of Education.
