The Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) Superintendent Screening Committee is calling a special meeting to be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at the VanHoose Education Center, 3332 Newburg Road, Louisville, Kentucky.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the organization of the Committee and the work that will be conducted by the Committee to fulfill its responsibilities as set forth in KRS 160.352.

The agenda is as follows:

1. Welcome and Introductions
2. Election of a Chairperson
3. Overview of Superintendent Selection Process and Timeline
4. Overview of the role of the Superintendent Screening Committee
5. Discussion regarding Confidentiality 
6. Scheduling of Future Meeting Dates

Any and all matters incidental to and supplementary to the foregoing may also be taken up, considered, and acted upon at the meeting.

This meeting will be conducted via video teleconference pursuant to KRS 61.823 and KRS 61.826. The primary location for this meeting and where all members can be seen and heard by the public will be Stewart Auditorium, VanHoose Education Center. Members are permitted to attend in person or via video teleconference pursuant to KRS 61.826. Members of the public may attend in person.

To fulfill the requirements of KRS 160.352, the JCPS Superintendent Screening Committee reviews applications and provides the Board of Education with recommendations for the Superintendent position.
