Executive Session: Interim Evaluation of the Superintendent
I. Call to Order
Rationale

To All Members of the Board of Education of Jefferson County, Kentucky:

The Chairwoman of the Board of Education is calling a special meeting of the Board of Education to be held on Monday, November 22, 2010, at 4:30 p.m. at the VanHoose Education Center, 3332 Newburg Road, Louisville, Kentucky.

The purpose of this meeting is as follows:

4:30 p.m.     Interim Evaluation of the Superintendent

6:00 p.m.     Dinner

Any and all matters incidental to and supplementary of the foregoing may also be taken up, considered, and acted upon in the meeting.

The regular meeting of the Board of Education will take place at 7 p.m., as scheduled, at the VanHoose Education Center, 3332 Newburg Road, Louisville, Kentucky.

Portions of the meeting will be closed to the public as provided for under KRS 61.810 (1)(f) and (k) of the Open Meetings Act and KRS 156.557.

II. Recess and Reconvene in Executive Session per KRS 61.810(1)(k) and KRS 156.557
Rationale

Chairwoman Debbie Wesslund read the following statement:

“Do I have a motion that the Board of Education recess and reconvene in Executive Session for the purpose of preliminary discussions relating to the evaluation of the superintendent pursuant to KRS 61.810(1)(k) of the Open Meetings Act and KRS 156.557?”

Actions Taken

Order #178 - Motion Passed:  A motion that the Board of Education recess and reconvene in executive session for the purpose of conducting preliminary discussions relating to the evaluation of the superintendent pursuant to KRS 61.810(1)(k) of the Open Meetings Act and KRS 156.557 passed with a motion by Mrs. Carol Ann Haddad and a second by Mr. Larry Hujo.

III. Adjourn from Executive Session
