Due to the likelihood that a quorum of the Board will be assembled together at the same event, the Chair of the Board of Education is calling a special meeting of the Board of Education to be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 23, 2021, at 18^th and Broadway (next to the YMCA).

The purpose of this meeting is as follows:

Jefferson County Public School officials, Board members, administrators, and students will help to break ground on a new elementary school that will be built in West Louisville. The new, state-of-the-art elementary school, which will be connected to the YMCA on West Broadway, will hold about 800 students and is expected to open in 2023.

Other than the groundbreaking ceremony, no business shall be conducted at this event.
