Work Session: District Union Collaboration
I. District Union Collaboration
Rationale

12 10 19 Meeting Audio

Recently, a team from JCTA and JCPS was able to attend a training with Dr. Saul Rubinstien to learn about his work. Many school/district administrators and union leaders throughout the country have been asking the question of how they can improve labor-management relations. Dr. Rubinstien works with practitioners and researchers in the field of data and partnership building to give districts the tools needed to promote collaborative labor-management partnerships that improve educator networks and make informed shared leadership decisions that count in school classrooms. Dr. Rubinstien will present his work with districts and local unions to help JCPS understand some of the elements needed to promote a collaborative environment. The Board will begin to understand a successful working partnership where educational colleagues work together so that students can learn and be successful. The Board will have a discussion with Dr. Rubinstien.
