Work Session: Presentation of Board Data Dashboard
I. Board Data Dashboard: Behavior, Attendance, and Staff Key Indicators
Rationale

Audio: 9 13 2016 Work Session 2

The purpose of the dashboard is to enable the Board to conduct its oversight of day-to-day activities more effectively, while providing a means by which board members can drill down to answer specific data questions in the areas of student and staff attendance and student behavior.

The dashboard will provide a high level analysis of current operations to answer the questions of: (1) Are students coming to school? (2) Are teachers coming to school? and (3) Is the environment in school conducive to learning, or being disrupted by discipline problems? Where these core metrics are trending in a negative direction, staff can provide additional analysis and information regarding strategies to improve outcomes.

The presentation will include a live demonstration of the dashboard as well as a discussion of its functions.  There will also be an opportunity to receive feedback from the board about potential changes and next steps for improvement.
