The Strategic Plan: Vision 2015 was adopted by the Board of Education on May 29, 2012, and has served as the fundamental document to set the priorities and guide the work of JCPS to improve the education we provide to our students. A revised, more streamlined version of Vision 2015 was approved by the Board on October 27, 2014.
The Board is moving forward with a process to create Strategic Plan: Vision 2020, which will establish the vision, mission, core values, and guiding practices that will guide the work of the district for the next five years and will set forth goals, measurable targets, and identifying key strategies for meeting the targets under each goal.
The Strategy Work Group of the Board has convened a number of external stakeholder meetings to gather input from our community, and the Board will have held a strategic planning retreat on May 15-16, 2015.
During this work session, the Board will work with a facilitator to move forward with the strategic planning process, discussing and refining outcomes of the Board retreat and incorporating stakeholder input.
