Audio: 3 30 2015 Work Session 2

The Strategic Plan: Vision 2015 was adopted by the Board of Education on May 29, 2012, and has served as the fundamental document to set the priorities and guide the work of JCPS to improve the education we provide to our students. A revised, more streamlined version of Strategic Plan: Vision 2015 was approved by the Board on October 27, 2014.

Vision 2015 establishes the vision, mission, core values, and guiding practices that direct the work of the district. It sets forth goals and measurable targets for improvement in four focus areas, and identifies key strategies for meeting the targets under each goal.

Now that 2015 is here, it is time for the Board to revisit the strategic plan and set the long-term course for the district—through the development of Vision 2020. This initial work session will focus on determining the process and timeline to be used to develop Vision 2020.
