Work Session: Strategy 1.3 Early Learning and Student Readiness

Strategy 1.3 addresses the need for a coordinated system of early learning interventions that span Pre-K through third grade to ensure all primary students are performing at grade level.
This presentation will provide an overview of Early Learning and Student Readiness across the district, which consists of Pre-K Readiness, K-3 Readiness, and the Third-Grade Reading Pledge—all of which create a coherent pipeline for success for our youngest learners.
Some of these interventions include ensuring high-quality learning environments, providing instructional resources that are aligned to the standards, providing extended learning opportunities, and establishing clear and concise K-3 exit criteria for literacy.
