Analysis of Capacity/Enrollment/Demographics/Population; District Facilities Plan/Long-Term Planning
I. Analysis of Capacity/Enrollment/Demographics/Population; Facilities Plan & Long-Term Planning; & Proposed Norton Commons Project
Rationale

Dr. Mike Raisor and Dr. Bob Rodosky will present Facilities, Capacity, and Trend Data with the Board during a work session from 4 to 6 p.m.

This presentation is meant to be Part 1 of a three-phase presentation over the coming months that will lead to a comprehensive, specific long-range facilities plan.

  • The November 11 presentation will acquaint the Board with the current state of the District as well as projected trends and future needs.
  • A second presentation will be scheduled in the spring (March) to make a proposal based upon conclusions and input gained from this data presentation.
  • In early summer (June), a plan (in the form of a recommendation for action) will be made to the Board following Board and community input regarding the proposal.
The following preliminary documents are provided to Board Members in preparation for the November 11 work session:
  • Current enrollment versus capacity in elementary, middle, and high schools;
  • Remaining schools on the media center addition initiative and the projected completion date; and
  • Schools and buildings in line for an HVAC replacement over the next five years.
