Approve 2022-23 audit contract with Shad J. Allen, CPA, PLLC
Our prior auditor, Alexander Thompson Arnold PLLC, increased their fee from $16,500 last year to $36,000 for the current year. After checking with other auditors, the only one willing to accept more clients at this date was Shad J. Allen, CPA, PLLC from Richmond, KY at a fee of $21,450. Shad currently has at least 10 other KY School Districts and would only agree to add ours if we and KDE were willing to grant a six week extension past the November 15, 2023 deadline. Shad performed Fulton Independent's audit last year and their Finance Officer was extremely satisfied with his work.
