The General Fund tax levied in fiscal year 2015 was 53.0 cents on real property and 53.2 cents on personal property which produced revenue of $13,119,955.52.  The proposed General Fund tax rate of 54.6 cents on real property and 54.6 cents on personal property is expected to produce $14,548,204.79.  Of this amount, $2,510,541.80 is from new and personal property.  The compensating tax rate for 2016 is 52.6 cents for real property and 52.6 cents for personal property and is expected to produce $14,015,303.52.

The general areas to which revenue of $1,428,249.27 above 2015 revenue is to be allocated are as follows:  Cost of collections, $28,564.98; building fund, $71,412.46; instruction, $600,000; transportation, $600,000; and maintenance of plant, $128,271.83.
