16.A. Expulsion Hearing

Order #10013 - Motion Passed:  Student 10-B will be expelled for the remainder of the 2009-2010 school year. Educational services will be offered through Hardin County Day Treatment with bus transportation provided. If he/she is denied entry to Day Treatment, the student will receive services at Brown Street Education Center. Upon successfully completing Day Treatment , it is recommended that Student 10-B enroll at Brown Street Alternative School. Once he/she successfully completes Day Treatment and Brown Street alternative programs, he/she may enroll in a regular Hardin County public school. Should student 10-B's guardian choose not to enroll him/her in Day Treatment, it is recommended Student 10-B receive no educational services for the remainder of this year because of his/her attack upon school personnel. It is also recommended that Student 10-B be allowed to enroll at Brown Street in August of 2010, repeat his/her 8th grade year, and once completing the program, be allowed to re-enroll in a regular public school setting. Approval to expel Student 10-B for the remainder of the 2009-2010 school year passed with a motion by Ms. Suzanne Broadwater and a second by Mr. Charlie Wise.
