Vice Chair Clem Fennell opened the meeting at 4:30pm.

Community member Joan Ferris asked the Board to clarify how the assessment and tax rate were determined.  Superintendent Brian Robinson shared the Real Estate and Personal Property Tax Calculation report provided by KDE used to determine the recommendation.

Ms. Ferris also asked about the numbers shared in the tax hearing publication related to the cost of collection of local taxes and who collects the taxes.  Finance Officer Andy Remlinger responded that property taxes are collected by the City of Fort Thomas and FTIS is charged the minimum rate of 1.5%.  The posted amount is for new revenue generated.  The Campbell County Sheriff collects motor vehicle taxes.
