II. Report from Hearn Elementary
Rationale

Kyle Sexton will present a report on Hearn Elementary School.

III. Report from The Academy
Rationale

Melissa Rogers will present a report on The Academy.

IV. Discuss Transportation of Students to Extra-Curricular Activities
Rationale

Dr. Grisham-Brown requested a discussion related to options for transporting students to extra-curricular activities. Information from our insurance company will be shared. Attached are copies of a Release Agreement some districts utilize when permitting students to be transported by individuals beyond their parents/guardians.

V. Superintendent's Capstone Presentation
Rationale

The superintendent will present part of her capstone project.

VI.A. WRE - Miller Transportation to Zoo
Rationale

WRE would like approval to use Miller Transportation for a trip to the Louisville Zoo on May 9, 2013.

VI.B. PME - Kramer Entertainment Contract
Rationale

Contract/agreement with Kramer Entertainment

Attached is a contract with Kramer Entertainment that will be bringing the  Planetarium Dome Theater to PME on April 30th. This will be paid for by Peaks Mill PTO. Student will be exposed to science content during the performance.

VI.C. HES- ESS Instructor
Rationale

Kyle Sexton is requesting the creation of a position for an daytime ESS teacher at Hearn Elementary School for 23 days at six hours per day for the 2012-2013 school year.

VI.D. CLE - Special Education Instructional Aide
Rationale

Due to some additional students enrolling at Collins Lane Elementary we need to hire an instructional assistant to fully implement all Individual Education Plans (IEPs).   At this time, I’m recommending we create a 7 hour per day instructional assistant position for the remainder of the 2012-13 school year.  

The funding for this job creation will be obtained from IDEA Basic, Part B.
