Approve Capital Outlay
We are in serious need of replacing two of our maintenance vans. The vans cost 19,800 through the state contracting. We would like to use $39,600 of Capital Outlay Funds (from FY 2011-12) to purchase these.
We also have to replace a sewer pump/grinder at PME. This pump is a continual problem with break downs and clogs. We are to the point that we are spending much more money to repair it than it is actually worth. The pump and installation total $21,024 would come out of Capital Outlay funds.
V.D.
Approve PME Part-Time Special Ed position
Due to several new students enrolling at Peaks Mill Elementary (PME) the Special Education Department we are unable to fully implement all Individual Education Plans (IEPs) without extra assistance. At this time, I’m requesting an additional .5 teacher at PME which would increase the Special Education teaching staff from 2 full time teachers to 2.5.
The funding for this position will be obtained from IDEA Basic.
