II. Report from Westridge Elementary
Rationale

Greg Roush will present a report on Westridge Elementary.

III. CDIP Update
Rationale

At the January 18 meeting, the FCPS Board of Education approved the Comprehensive District Improvement Plan for 2011-12.  At that time the Board requested quarterly updates.  This is the first update since January.  The version of the CDIP attached includes a modified column with notes on progress since January.

IV. District Facilities Plan
Rationale

The Local Planning Committee met on five different occasions to develop the Facilities Plan (4 year plan) for the district.  We feel that the plan accurately captures district priority needs based on building evaluations, etc.  The plan has been developed in accordance with 702 KAR 4:180.
Attached is the district plan as well as a list of committee members and other relevant documents used in the process.

V. Approve Revised 2010-2011, Proposed 2011-2012 and Tentative (Draft) 2012-2013 Calendars
Rationale

The revised 2010-2011 calendar, the proposed calendar for 2011-2012, and the tentative (draft) calendar for 2012-2013 are presented for your approval. 

Changes from the original 2011-2012 draft calendar are:

        *Fall Mini Break changed from 10/6-10/7 to 10/13-10/14
        *The first two days of winter break will be used as make-up days 
        *2/20 President's Day will be a school day
        *3/28 Early Release Day changed to 3/13
        *3/30 PD day added
        *4/6 PD day deleted
        *Spring Break changed from 4/9-4/13 to 4/2-4/6
        *Added Early Release Day on 4/18
        *Last Day of School changed from 5/18 to 5/21
        *Closing Day changed from 5/21 to 5/23

This calendar reflects 177 school days.
The school year instructional hours, including the early release days, significantly exceed the minimum number of hours required by the Kentucky Department of Education.

Rationale

The Great Flyer Nation would like to contract with the Frankfort Convention Center for our 2011 prom. 

The prom will be held on May 21 at a cost of $1945.  The entire expense will be funded by the 2011 Senior Class.

VI.D. Approve Technology Plan
VI.E. Approve CTC Out-of-State to Indiana
Rationale

FCCTC Welding students (10) and Mr. Shewmaker would like to attend the "Kentuckiana Classic" welding competition on Friday, APril 29, 2011, in New Albany, Indiana.  Transportation will be provided by FCPS and paid for by competition funds.
