Approve 2022-2023 Tax Rates
Every year school boards are required to set local property tax rates.
The tax rates of 71.8 in 2020-2021 and 71.3 in 2021-2022 were levied by the Franklin County Board of Education.
For 2022-2023, a tax rate of 70.8 is proposed for real estate and tangible personal property.
The Board is also required to set the tax rate for 2023 for all motor vehicles. The proposed rate of 51.0 cents is the same rate that has been levied since 1983.
Approve the 2022-2023 tax rate as presented
Order #2022-1192 - Motion Passed: Approve the 2022-2023 tax rate as presented passed with a motion by Mr. Chuck Fletcher and a second by Ms. BeLinda Henson.

Adjournment
The next meeting of the Franklin County Board of Education will be 6:00pm on September 12th, 2022 at the Central Office (190 Kings Daughter Drive).
