3. Approve Tax Rates
Rationale


In 2019, a real property and personal property tax rate of 74.3 was levied by the Franklin County Board of Education. For 2020, a tax rate of 71.8 is proposed for both real estate and tangible personal property. 
 
The Board is also required to set the tax rate for 2020 for all motor vehicles. The proposed rate of 51.0 cents is the same rate that has been levied since 1983.

Rationale

Please approve the submission of New Teacher Support Grants for each school.  

These grants provide $325.00 per new teacher and will help support their professional growth.

We are submitting the grants to KDE for 12 of 14 schools who have new teachers.  We are requesting a total of $9,750.00 for 30 teachers.

Rationale

1.  Ashley Tackett, Special Education Teacher at Bridgeport Elementary, will fill a vacancy on the 50/50 Committee for the 2020-2021 School Year.  She replaces Ashley Norton Gary.  Certified Evaluation Plan documents will be updated accordingly.

 

2.  Local Evaluation Appeals Panel for the 2020-2021 School Year:

Rationale

Please approve the revised forms (reflecting new KY PSEL standards) for school administrators. 

See attachments for changes as reviewed by the local 50/50 committee:

1.  We changed forms to reflect moving from 6-10 standards

2.  We changed KY TELL survey to IMPACT survey as the state selected a new vendor.

3.  We changed rubric requirements for interpreting the IMPACT survey in the Professional Growth Plan.

 

Attached you will find the new standards "AT a GLANCE", the revised Professional Growth Plan, the Site Visit Observation Form, and the Summative Ratings Form. (Ignore page numbers on PDF--the printer printed an extra page between each sheet.)
