2.1. Virtual Graduation
Rationale

In light of the public health crisis we are facing, we will be unable to bring our graduates together physically at this time for a traditional graduation ceremony.  The Governor has stated no in-person graduation ceremonies can be held in May and has urged districts to find creative ways to honor seniors. Franklin County Schools is committed to honoring ALL of our seniors during these challenging times. Working with the Frankfort Plant Board and our high school student and faculty leaders, we have designed a Virtual Graduation Ceremony that will take place on May 23rd and an In-Person Ceremony when we are able to do so.

Rationale

As part of the annual review of the Title I Parent Involvement and Engagement Policy, we received parent recommendations to include how the policy is available online through school websites and available in multiple languages upon request.  The policy has been updated to include this language.

Rationale

JRA Architects conducted bids for the excavation project for the turf fields at FCHS and WHHS on May 15, 2020.  Bids were received from Colston Paving, The Motz Group and Oheil Site Solutions.  The recommendation is to award the project to the lowest bidder, Oheil Site Solutions.  Attached for your review and approval are the Bid Tabulation and Letter of Recommendation.
