I. Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD)
Rationale

MADD State Executive Director, Angela Leigh, would like to have the opportunity to speak to the Board about their program. Recently MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) has realized that while their name is widely known and recognized, few people are actually aware of what programs and services are offered. She will present an introduction about Mothers Against Drunk Driving and address their mission statement, which is to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking. Other issues described in the talk will be adult prevention programs and awareness, victim services and youth outreach programs. Ms. Leigh will also dispel a few myths about MADD; including the beliefs that they are all mad mothers and that they are prohibitionists. She will speak about where MADD is today, and where they would like to be in the future.
