The goal of my STLP group is to connect cultures around the world through folklore. My students are attempting to collect original folktales from at least 30 countries around the world in order to build global relationships, identify similarities and differences between cultures, and develop real-world literacy skills. They developed this project after our district decided to build cultural understanding and devote each month to a different culture represented in our student body.
