Approve Construction Documents for New Elementary School
Architects from Sherman-Carter-Barnhart will present the construction documents for the New Elementary School for your approval prior to bidding.

Motion Passed: That the Board approve the construction documents for the New Elementary School passed with a motion by Mr. William Cofield and a second by Tim Metzger.
II.B.
Approve Revised Fee for Architectural/Engineering Services
When the original fee was negotiated with Sherman-Carter-Barnhart, we thought the budget and scope of this project would be about $11.2 million. A fee of $560,000 (or 5%) was set. Because of the estimated construction cost has risen significantly ($12,374,572), the architect is requesting an additional $50,000 fee.
The fee of $610,000 is still well below the KDE suggested fee of $693,000 and below 5%.
That the architectural fee be amended to $610,000
Motion Passed: That the architectural fee be amended to $610,000 passed with a motion by Mr. William Cofield and a second by Stanley Salchli.
