She will be majoring in Human Health Sciences-Physicians assistant. Here are some comments from her teachers and student council sponsor:

Mrs. Wilson (Former Teacher): “Chloe is a likable and generous student who works hard in her endeavors. She has earned many accolades throughout her educational career because she is disciplined in time management and diligent in her studies. This young woman is a tremendous example of what our young people can offer in today’s world. While maintaining strong academic performance, Chloe has not missed an opportunity to participate in student life. She has participated on the school’s Cross Country team, Student Council, Beta Club, and Student Y-Club and is a class officer. She has developed and honed her leadership skills through her leadership roles within the Student Council, Beta Club (where she earned numerous awards state and national awards), and Student Y-Club where she has spoken on the stage at state-wide mock government events.”

Mr. Yates (Former American History): “For my American History class last year, Chloe was one of the most well rounded kids I've ever taught. She is a natural born leader with such charisma and a smile that can improve your day. Her work was exceptional all year, particularly her portrayal of Jack Harlow on the Greatest American Project (she will know what I'm talking about). All the best to her and this recognition is very deserving, but highly earned!”

Mrs. Breunig (Student Council):“Chloe is an integral member of the Student Council, serving as promo chair for the past two years and as president this year. As promo chair, Chloe made sure that the decorations for every event hosted by the Student Council were top notch. She has been in charge of designing and ordering our student council t-shirts for the past two years, and she just designed the tickets for both the Luau and the Belle dances at EHS. As student council president, Chloe is reliable, enthusiastic, and dedicated to all aspects of making the events at EHS a great experience. As vice president of her class, Chloe helped put together an incredible Project Graduation for the senior class of 2022, and she will do the same to ensure the current senior class has a memorable prom this year.” EHS is proud to recognize Chloe Hornback as the September Student of the Month

TK STONE MIDDLE SCHOOL           STELLA CLAGETT

Our TKS student of the month for May is Stella Clagett. Stella loves soccer, music, and God. She spends many hours practicing for soccer and competing on the high school JV Soccer team and the EFC club soccer team. She loves the sport because of the camaraderie and fun that comes with being a part of the team.

Stella also devotes time to developing her skill as a musician. She loves to sing, play the piano, and is currently learning to play the guitar. She has aspirations to participate in the worship team at Grace Heartland.

Stella loves T.K. Stone because of the great teachers and friends that she has there. She is looking forward to going to high school next year and exploring career options. Her true role model is God, as she strives to be like him in all that she does. She also looks up to her dad, who is a selfless and successful example for her.

Mrs. Spears:

"Stella Clagett is an exceptional student at T.K. Stone Middle School and deserves the honor of Student of the Month. Stella is respectful and kind to other students and teachers, and she has an excellent work ethic. Stella strives for success in all of her assignments and always performs to the best of her ability. Well deserved, Stella!"

 Mr. Pearman:

"Stella is a respectful young lady, very kind to adults and peers.  Her diligence with academics is admirable too.  If she continues on this path, she will be an asset to any community in which she lives in the future.

Congratulations, Stella!"

Holly Johnson:

"Stella regularly promotes positivity, accepts responsibility, works hard, and shows respect. She has been a great example of a student leader and I look forward to watching her continue to grow throughout the year."

Mr. Stewart:

"Stella is a great student.  She is very smart and always participates in class.  Stella has been helpful to new students and is always willing to help when called upon.  Stella works hard through a very tough schedule at school and represents the Panthers after school on the girl's soccer team.  Her involvement in the school and strong work ethic make her a great choice for Student of the Month."

Mr. Lutz:

'Stella is an excellent student who works very hard in my Algebra 1 class. Stella comes to class each day with a positive attitude and is very eager to learn. She is a great representative of Tk Stone and our school district.'

MORNINGSIDE ELEMENTARY               BRADY BUTLER

Morningside Elementary is honored to nominate Brady Butler as the student of the month.  He is a one of a kind student and person.  He is the epitome of a role model student here at Morningside.  He can always be found following the Guidelines for Success and has an amazing attitude even when things get tough.  All of the 4th grade teachers agree that he stands out as a leader.  He excels in all areas of the classroom as well as in sports, baseball is his favorite.   When I asked a few students about Brady’s interaction with them they were quick to say he is kind, has great sportsmanship, and is always helpful to everyone.    I can tell daily that he is highly thought of by his peers, his teachers, and the staff.  Throughout all of this he remains humble and just wants to be the best he can be every day.   In the future he wants to play Major League Baseball.   All in all Brady is a wonderful student who works hard, gives the utmost respect to his teachers and friends, and enjoys life.  You can see there are many reasons that we are honored to recognize Brady Butler as the Morningside student of the month.

HELMWOOD HEIGHTS ELEMENTARY         KeAJAH JACKSON

Ke’ajah Jackson is Helmwood’s September Student of the Month!  Ke’ajah is a fifth grader , and is consistently a role model to all the other students.  She can always be counted on to be respectful, responsible and cooperative, and she always strives to do her very best.  Ke’ajah takes pride in her work and is always willing to help others.

I had the privilege of working with KeAjah last school year, stated Mrs. Frazier and she is an amazing student, she's such a hard worker and always tries her very best. She has a kind heart and is always thinking of others before herself. She always has a smile on her face and a positive attitude.

She consistently has a great attitude at school and is always willing to help other students in class!

Mrs. Davis had this to add. I had the pleasure of working with KeAjah when she was in third grade.  She is a smart math student and works very hard!  When I see KeAjah in the hallways and in her classroom this year, I can tell she is an excellent leader by example.  We are proud to have KeAjah at Helmwood

Ke'Ajah is an excellent student! She is friendly, respectful, and a hard worker. She is a joy to work with. I'm so proud of her for getting student of the month! She is so deserving of this award, states Mrs. Bainbridge.

Cooperation is a huge factor that makes Ke’ajah a fantastic student and classmate.  She always does what is asked of her, but it is more than just that.  She cooperates with everyone in the class.  She is willing to work with and help all the other students in the class.  She puts forth her best effort, asks for help when she needs it, and gives help to all others around her on a daily basis.  She is a learning partner that everyone is glad to work with!

Congratulations, Ke’ajah!!  You show Panther Pride on a daily basis!!

PANTHER ACADEMY                     AMAYA EMBRY

Mrs. Hines had this to say about Amaya -

"I nominated Amaya for the student of the month award because she is a model student.  She is always doing the right thing and a great example for other students.  She uses kind words with others and is a friend to everyone.  If she sees someone sad or having a rough time she will give them a hug or an encouraging word.  I have watched her go up to kids on the playground who might be sad or playing by themselves and ask them if they want to play.  She is a hard worker. One example of how she lives some of our guidelines for success, practice responsibility and act respectfully, is always raising her hand to participate in class discussions. She is an absolute joy to have in class."
