CONSIDERATIN OF APPROVAL OF BOARD MEETING AGENDA
Pursuant to EIS Board Policy 01.45 Board Meeting Agenda, as part of the official agenda for each regular board meeting, the Superintendent shall prepare a consent agenda of routine business items. Prior to the approval of the agenda the members of the board may request to "pull" any item from the consent agenda and place the item on the action agenda for further discussion and review.

Approve the Personnel to serve as Admissions and Release Committee (ARC) Chairperson(s)
It has been the standard practice for the past several years for the director of special programs, the building level principals, assistant principals and guidance counselors to serve as chairperson(s) for the School-Based Admissions and Release Committee (ARC).
Attached is a memorandum from Mrs. Kristin Froedge, Director of Special Programs, requesting your approval of the 2018-2019 personnel to serve as ARC Committee Chairpersons.

Approve Kentucky Department of Education's District Funding Assurances 2019
In order for the district to continue to receive state and federal funds, the district must declare that we are in compliance with all funding assurances listed in the KDE "District Assurances" document (attached)
This is an annual submission.

Approve Emergency Teaching Certification
A posting to attract and employ a full-time certified teacher for a math class at Elizabethtown High School was placed on the Kentucky Employment Placement Services (KEPS), on the district's application software (Talented), and on Vacancy Announcements throughout the district. With board approval, the district would like to employ a candidate who holds certification for Math teacher on emergency certificate until full certification is granted by EPSB.

Approve Contractual Services Agreement between EIS and Communicare Children's Services
Attached you will find the Contractual Services Agreement between Communicare Children's Services and Elizabethtown Independent Schools for the 2018-2019 school year. These services will be provided for students within the EIS school district in conjunction with Family Resource and Youth Services Centers to provide mental health counseling within the schools.

Approve Non-Resident Contract
Annually, the board has approved and authorized the Chairman of the Board and the Superintendent to sign non-resident contracts with those boards of education who have students living in their districts but enrolled in the Elizabethtown Independent Schools, as well as sign non-resident contracts for students who live in the Elizabethtown Independent School District and are enrolled in other school districts.
Attached is a proposed contract for non-resident students between the Mercer County Public School District ant EIS for the 2018-2019 school year.

Approve School Resource Officer Agreement
Attached is the agreement between EIS and the City of Elizabethtown through the Elizabethtown Police Department for School Resource Officer placed at Elizabethtown High School for the 2018-2019 school year.

Approve Bid for Security Cameras
The Elizabethtown Board of Education accepted sealed bids for security cameras.
An ad was placed in the News Enterprise notifying that EIS is accepting sealed bids for security cameras on June 21. Bids were accepted until 9:00 am on July 12.
No bids were returned.
In an effort to provide a safer school environment for the students and staff of EIS we are requesting the purchase of a combination of the following cameras to total approximately 101 cameras throughout the district at a cost of approximately $35,626.50. We are requesting approval of the project and purchase of the cameras from Alliant Intergrators. All wiring has been completed in house by Mr. Maggard and Mrs. Huff.

Approve Field Trip Requests
Attached are field trip requests for your approval:
1. Mr. Glenn Spalding, EHS Athletic Director is requesting approval for the EHS Football Team to travel to Monroe County High School, Thompkinsville, KY via Charter Bus on August 10, 2018.
2. Mr. Rex Hanson, Guidance Counselor at EHS is requesting approval for the EHS senior class to travel to New York City via Charter Bus for their senior trip April 25-April 29, 2019.

EVALUATION OF THE SUPERINTENDENT
Annually, members of the Elizabethtown Independent School's Board of Education shall conduct a summative (final) evaluation of the Superintendent. All board members and the superintendent shall be present at this meeting, each board member shall have completed the evaluation forms prior to attending the meeting.
In closed session, the board may compile information and conduct preliminary discussions regarding the summative evaluation. The board and the Superintendent will have the opportunity to attach written statements to the evaluation form prior to adoption of the summative evaluation.
The final summative evaluation shall be discussed and adopted in open session.
