DHS Principal's Report
Scott Meyers
Chris Wright reported:
- Crisis Management training was held for all staff at the high school
- 7th & 9th grade orientation was successful
- ATC classes began August 10, 2022. Mr. Wright had a chance to visit the ATC and learned about the industry certifications that are offered. He suggested others visit the campus
- Gateway dual credit classes/NKU Young Scholars program began on August 15, 2022. Between both programs - we have 26 students attending
- Porch visits and a kick-off party took place August 15
- STAR assessment testing is underway
- All Safety drills are schedule for the end of August
- GSA (Greendevil Success Academy - formerly DaytonA) is off to a good start. This is a combination of credit recovery and mental health counseling services.

LES Principal's Report
Heather Dragan reported:
- Great start to the school year. Family partnership meetings (1/2 hour meetings with teachers/student/families) took place on Monday and Tuesday before school started. Happy to report 100% participation between in-person, phone calls and porch visits
- Families will be invited in a total of 5 times for these meetings throughout the school year
- LES is in the beginning phases of the application process to become a certified Family Friendly School.
- LES has a new literacy series - Amplify

Rick Wolf reported:
- KPREP scale scores are due to come out around September 13-14
- New teacher meetings will be handled differently this year due to the amount of brand new teachers and no KTIP program

Attendance/Energy Management/Student Services/Transportation
Ron Kinmon
Ron Kinmon reported:
- Enrollment has gone down since the pandemic. Our current enrollment is 781. Online homeschool options have become very popular
- Custodial staff has done a great job getting the building ready for opening day
- All elementary school classrooms have new rugs
- Cafeteria/bathroom renovation has gone well. Not totally complete - still have a walk-thru punch list
- New SRO is Todd Brendel
- Transportation - will need to hire another bus driver
- Solar panels are not working - inverter is bad - will need to be replaced
- Davis Field had a power outage - new fuse was needed

- Preschool enrollment is up! We are 10 students short of max capacity. Screenings are currently taking place
- Following the pandemic - a lot of students are coming in with undiagnosed disabilities
