Congratulations to our January 2022 Artist of the Month!

Airy was selected as artist of the month because of her hard work in class. She always tries during assignments even if she doesn't do as well as she'd like. Airy is always willing to help other students when they are struggling.

Pursuant to KRS 157.622, the School Facilities Construction Commission (SFCC) is hereby making an official Offer of Assistance to the Dayton Independent Schools Board of Education.  Acceptance of this Offer of Assistance commits the school district to adhere to the statutes and regulations governing this program.  This Offer of Assistance is in the annual debt service amount of $10,192 to be used towards proposed construction or major renovation of facilities outlined in your most current approved facility plan.

  • Scheduling process has begun for the 2022-2023 school year - determining class options - seniors will start scheduling in February

  • Care closet held a pop-up-shop

  • honor roll numbers for 2nd quarter and compared them to first quarter

  • Boys' bowling team won the conference championship - first in DHS history

  • Boys' basketball made it to the final 4 of the All-A tournament

  • closing on the red brick house and trailer will take place on Thursday, January 27, 2022

  • Appraisals for the remaining property will take place the week of January 31, 2022

  • More maintenance on school busses is necessary

  • Comparted attendance percentages from January 2020 (95%) with January 2022 (93%).  This is due to the ongoing Covid concerns.  Need to find a way to get students back in school.
