4.D. Athlete of the Month - Devin Schloemer
Rationale

We would like to congratulate our athlete of the month - Devin Schloemer.

After a cessation in practices, a delay in the season beginning and the less-than-ideal situation of not allowing fans, Devin Schlomer led our Greendevils bowling team to a season opener victory over the Beechwood Tigers.  Devin led the team with an impressive 244 score!

4.E. Artist of the Month - Owen Overman
Rationale

Congratulation to Owen Overman - our January 2021 Artist of the Month!

Owen is a young and passionate Flute player. He is positive, attentive and most valuable above all else is that he is kind. Owen handles each playing opportunity with grace and is always eager to go the extra mile to be a great musician.

  • Emergency drills took place when students returned mid January

  • Lifetouch will be at school for retakes and senior pictures

  • Grad tracker meeting took place to make sure students are on track to graduate and determine college and career readiness

  • Middle school CASE testing will start February 1

  • Report cards distributed and honor roll announced

  • Re-iterated number of morning, afternoon, and dual credit students

  • Credit recovery program will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting in February

  • Teachers are doing a great job of coming up with new ideas

  • Intentional Wednesdays are continuing - help for struggling students

  • SBDM is replacing smart boards at LES

  • Scholastic Book Fair is taking place in February

  • Reviewed CDIP Grad Rate - goal is to increase grad rate.  We have 54 seniors this year.  Because of alternate diplomas, the highest our grad rate can be this year is 96.3%.  State average is 90%.

  • Continuing to operate with a positive balance


Preschool:



  • Thank you to Mr. Brewer and Mrs. Dragan for allowing preschool to stay open during the COVID shutdown

  • Preschool numbers across the state are down this year - we currently have 65 in-person students which is our max


Special Education:



  • We have received $65,000 in Medicaid funds so far this year
