4.B. Athlete of the Month - Liberty Windeler
Rationale

Please join me in celebrating the DHS Athlete of the month for November, 2020.  Liberty Windeler has been a stable force for the Lady Devils volleyball team since day 1 of workouts.  She worked relentlessly every day preparing for this season.  Liberty has played every set of every match and served as the team captain.  She led the team in assists and service aces. It has showed in the awards that Liberty earned:  All-District Tournament Team, 1st Team All-Conference and Runner Up as Player of the year in our Division.  Liberty carries a 3.7 GPA and stepped up to assist the middle school teams when needed.  Liberty will be missed so much next year!  Good luck at Coastal Carolina.  It has been a sheer pleasure being a part of your journey.

4.C. Artist of the Month - Destiny Ballard
Rationale

Destiny is exemplary in terms of desire, attitude and demeanor. She has had physical issues that have made playing the trumpet more difficult, however, she has not complained at all. That speaks volumes to her drive and character.

Destiny asked to both play in the band and cheer in the first game. That took guts. Her presence and emails were impressive.

She successfully hustled back and forth to keep both commitments and that was not overlooked.

Make no mistake. She is a great trumpet player and over time... she will be excellent.

Keep up the stellar work.
