Heather Dragan reported:

  • Orientation meetings are taking place this week where all students are receiving their electronic devices.  Attendance has been great and the feedback from parents has been very positive.

  • Great feedback from teachers as well.  They have been working hard on their Google classrooms and showing students how to navigate it.

  • The new math curriculum is up and running with teachers having had their initial training.  Rave reviews so far.

Discussion

Rick Wolf reported:

  • LES and DHS just completed their three teacher work days and three PD days.  The focus of these days was to plan for the 2020-2021 school year.  LES teachers participated in a webinar on Envision Math 2020 and Wonders Reading.  DHS teachers spent time planning instruction and meeting in PLC's.

  • ACT makeup test for any junior who missed the State testing day is October 6.

  • MAP, CASE, and CERT will need to be administered during virtual learning and we are working with these folks to make that happen.

  • This year KDE will be tracking participation instead of attendance.  Data will be pulled from Infinite Campus 4 times during the school year.

  • We will be using attendance data from 2019-2020 to determine amount of  SEEK money our district receives for 2020-2021.
