4.C. Athlete of the Month - David Puchta
Rationale

Please join us in congratulating Mr. David Puchta in being named Athlete of The Month.  David has been a member of the bowling team for 2 years. He has shown great strides in his game this year setting a personal best score of 203 and has served as anchor for his team many times. David has really opened up this season and has shown leadership by helping out and cheering on his teammates. David holds a 4.1 GPA and was recently tapped to be a member of the National Honor Society. I expect to see great things from David the rest of this season and the next 2 yrs as a a bowler. 

4.D. Artist of the Month - Rachel Holaday
Rationale

Rachel Holaday has not only been a leader in Marching Band, but in concert band as well. While I was out with health issues, Rachel took charge and lead the band during our Veterans Day Ceremony, our Teacher vs Student basketball game and many rehearsals. Thank you to Rachel for stepping up, and helping our program Grow!

  • students have been going on incentive field trips

  • NHS tapping took place and several students were inducted.

  • a guest speaker came in and talked to the middle school students about the dangers of vaping
  • Staff and student basketball game took place
  • the 8th grade won the attendance contest - this incentive seems to be helping with higher attendance rates
  • Administrator's met with juniors for ACT goal setting
  • Students took the mandatory Civics exam that is required for graduation.
  • Students involved in the logistics pathway are working at DHL
  • Dalton Schaub and Corey Cheek were recognized by the ATC for their Masonry work
  •

  • LES is wrapping up the second quarter and students are trying to reach their goals

  • Youth basketball is just starting and is taking place at LES.  

  • LES chorus has preformed at several events under the direction of Chelsea Tucker

  • Attendance is up from 94.8% to 95.5%.  Mr. Brewer acknowledged the work the administrators are doing by offering incentives for the highest attendance.

  • The preschool teachers recently attended the NAECY conference (Early Childhood Conference) and came back with a lot of great ideas to implement in the classroom

  • The December 1st count is down from last year and although it is still high - the numbers are continuing to go down.
