Rationale

Congratulations to Cameron Pierce - Athlete of the Month

We want to congratulate our eSports team as they defeated Nelson County on Tuesday.

The team was led by Cameron Pierce as he had the most victories in the match with 13. 

Cameron Pierce positioned himself behind Nelson County and destroyed their base while his teammates distracted the enemy team. 

It was a great play and very exciting to watch!

Rationale

Congratulation to Jordyn Straub - Artist of the Month

Jordynn Straub is very talented and has been working independently to develop a portfolio of work.  She has amazing drive and determination.  She is the only sophomore that is working on writing and illustrating her own story.

  • The DHS band performed at LES

  • DHS will be performing a play called "Tech Week"

  • Student voice meetings were well received

  • High school contests - door decorating and attendance

  • 82.9 day to celebrate the % of seniors that were college or career ready during 2017-2018 school year

  • Discussed winter CERT testing and some complications that arose

  • Beginning to work on the 2019-2020 master schedule

  • Still working with River City Hub to help students earn a logistic pathway

  • There are 181 students in the drug free club

  • Kindergarten is overcrowded - trying to determine solution - Transitions Drug Recovery house allows kids to stay with mom while recovering and they enroll in LES.

  • The March Professional Learning Day is a "Flex PL Day". Teachers are responsible for getting 6 hours on their own or attend the March PL Day.




  • CASE assessment just finished at LES and DMS. We should have the results by winter break.




  • PLC and Flashback meetings have been taking place each week at LES and DHS. The focus of these meetings is on assessments, instructional practices, and analyzing student work.
