Rationale

The naming of Dayton High School Gym Floor After Coach Stan Steidel to Happen in January 2018

This year Dayton is hosting the girls’ division of the All "A" Classic. The tournament runs the week of January 8th-13th, with the championship being played on Saturday, January 13th at 7:00p.m.

Dayton Independent Schools is proud to announce that the Dayton High School Court will be named in honor of Coach Stan Steidel for his work as coach and athletic director in supporting the kids of Dayton and kids from small schools across the state of Kentucky.

Given his instrumental role in the creation of the All "A" Classic, and all of the time and dedication that he put into Dayton and Dayton's basketball program, this honor is due to Coach Stan Steidel, a 1959 graduate of Dayton High School. The All "A" Classic has grown from a six team Class A basketball tournament to a multi-sport - state wide event for Kentucky Kids from small schools. This tournament has produced millions of dollars in scholarships for Kentucky Kids!
