• Student Rep Board Report January 2017

Noelle discussed her board report and then presented a PowerPoint on the Dayton Drug Free Club. Dayton is working to expand its Drug Free Club and Mr. Brewer has reached out to the Chamber of Commerce and several colleges to discuss creating opportunities for preferred employment, discounts, and scholarships.

Mr. Kellinghaus discussed his board report and noted that the CCR rate from last year was 78% and we are currently at 63.5%.  He also was very excited to announce that DHS/DMS was awarded two 3D printers through a grant and will be starting a DMS 3D printing club.

Mrs. Dragan discussed her board report and the MAP data analysis from Winter 2012 to Winter 2016. She was excited to announce that 397 students met their individual MAP goals.

Mr. Kinmon noted that attendance is down at both schools unfortunately, and he is working with the administration to improve this.  However, enrollment is good at 881 currently.  

He also noted that he has met several times with the city of Dayton to discuss renovating the staff parking lot and adding new lights around the High School.

Mrs. Howell discussed her board report and noted that the Daycare had to hire a substitute and might need to hire another full-time person due to increased infant enrollment.  She also noted that there will be another Early Childhood Key Stakeholders Luncheon on February 10th.

Mr. Brewer noted that the Food Service ending balance last year was $177,463.70 and this year was $216,484.68.   

Mr. DeMarcus had no report this month.

Motion Passed:  Approval to Pay Application #2 for the DHS Renovation Project to Leo J. Brielmaier Co. in the amount of $190,014.25 passed with a motion by Mr. Bernie Pfeffer and a second by Mr. Tom Dilts.

Motion Passed:  Approval of Payroll for Maintenance/Custodial Staff passed with a motion by Mr. Bernie Pfeffer and a second by Mrs. Carrie Downard.

Motion Passed:  Approval of Early Childhood Community Connector Assistant (Classified Position) Stipend of $4,444 (Paid through Preschool Partnership Grant) passed with a motion by Mr. Bernie Pfeffer and a second by Mrs. Diane Huff.
