• August 2016 DHS Board Report

Mr. Kellinghaus noted that DHS received the Magnified Giving Grant, the 1st PD day was focused on specific learning targets listed in his report, PBIS is off to a strong start this year, and the class meetings went really well. He also mentioned that the vocational class enrollment is 19 students compared to 4 last year and the dual credit class enrollment is 23 students compared to 9 last year.

• LES Board Report - August 2016

Mrs. Dragan noted that enrollment is up this year with 542 students as of today compared to 498 at the end of last year. If approved tonight, we will be adding a new Kindergarten Teacher and Instructional Assistant to help with the increased amount of students this year. She also mentioned that Lincoln had 3 Open Houses this year, with 1st-6th grade on August 11th, Kindergarten on August 15th, and Preschool will be August 25th. Lastly, she noted that Lincoln is now a "Core Life School."

Mr. Wolf noted we are in the midst of Fall Data Clean-up. The Data Quality Review Day when we get to review the data one last time prior to public release is tentatively scheduled for September 14.

Mr. Kinmon noted that enrollment of the District is currently 896 and is up by 44 since the first day of school. There are 25 new students at Lincoln and 19 at DHS. He also reviewed the attendance history report that he submitted.

• JULY16 DAYCARE REPORT-BOARD

Mrs. Howell noted that we had 50 Preschool screenings over 4 days, the Preschool Open House is August 25th, and the first day for Preschool is September 6th. She also mentioned that she will be submitting our application for the Preschool Partnership Grant on Monday and hopefully will know if we receive this by the next board meeting.
